Youth Camps and Outreaches

Camp and outreach opportunities introduce children to Jesus Christ by creating small Christian communities within small and large groups. Within this context, the children experience firsthand the love and care of Christ through interactive teaching of Biblical truths and values, hugs, sports, drama, and other activities. It is during these outreaches that the Short Term Missionaries encourage the children to deepen and develop their relationship with their 12-3-1 Mentors, who are the year round presence of our ministry.

YouthReach International carries out day camps  and special outreaches as after-school or holiday programs in orphanages and kid’s clubs for one to two weeks. These programs are staffed by 12-3-1 Mentors and Short Term Missionaries, who interactively teach Biblical truths and values, coordinate large group activities, play games, and sing songs.

During these mission opportunities, the Short Term Missionaries may act as the initial draw for the children. For many, these are the first and only foreigners that they know, and the children enjoy making friends with people from around the world. Throughout the outreach, the Short Term Missionary steps back, allowing the 12-3-1 Mentor to become the primary area of focus, to develop that relationship for effective year round ministry.
